This world famous
firearms Connecticut company was founded in 1919 by Swedish immigrant
Oscar
F. Mossberg,
who prior to starting his company, worked for USA bicycle manufacturer Iver Johnson.
This 1972 era carbon fiber bicycle
model was short-lived, reportedly ceasing it's very limited
production when the special facility in which it was made burned down.
Despite the
model's short duration, it had two iterations,
the VM-1, which was more or less conventional in it's configuration, and
the VM-2, which had an additional pair of stays. This presumably
stiffened up the rear.
