Brooks Saddle Restoration,
Tony Colegrave

A. Colgrave Wellhouse
Northian Rye
East Sussex
TN31 6HY, England

01797 253177

"Tony Colegrave, who used to run the Brooks factory repair service in England, now restores Brooks saddles on a freelance basis. I have recently had a 1930's B17N restored by him for an early CCM Flyer track bike. He did a simply spectacular job. Not only that, he was prompt and quite reasonable as well. He has the early pattern stamps for the sides of the saddle, and also the early emblems for the back of the saddle. The price does approach that of a new Brooks saddle, but a new Brooks saddle doesn't compare, in terms of quality or appearance, for an older restoration."  Larry Strung

Balloon tire specialist who may be able to help in certain lightweight bikes projects....."Each seat is taken apart, stripped to the bare metal, repaired as needed, repainted or replated as necessary then recovered. Chuck ensures that the leather he uses is the correct grain as the original and that the stitching is authentically reproduced. The padding he uses also is an exact duplicate of the original. Each seat is done by hand. Chuck is stickler for details and his restoration work is among the best your money can buy."  The Classic & Antique Bicycle Exchange
