Stone’s Cyclery (est. 1943 at its current
address) is, in many ways, a dream shop/museum for vintage bike
lovers. Former Owner Dennis Stone, who died in 2016, took over the shop
from his father , Harry Stone, in the 1960s, selling quality road bikes
and working closely with famous builders like Schwinn, Bob Jackson, Jack
Taylor, Albert Eisentraut, and Waterford (owned by Richard Schwinn). He
developed strong personal relationships with them over many years. Today,
Dennis’ sons are continuing the shop’s classic and steel bike traditions
with Manager John McKeon at the helm.
A quick look around reveals a huge selection of
classic and classic-style road and track machines.
